I was searching google, trying to find sites that would help me as a teacher(when I become a teacher), and I found these two to be quite useful. The first link helps to create a homepage, and as a social science education major, I will be teaching middle or high school children, and a webpage would allow me to keep in contact with my students, and assist them when they need extra help.
The second link is useful because it not only helps prepare a homepage it also helps generate quizzes, worksheets, and puzzles for your students. This website gives teachers a way to make learning fun for their students. I recommend that every education major, ready to go into the field look at these pages. :)
I have learned so much in this class. I hope to learn more about powerpoint presentation.I want to make them more entertaining, because powerpoints are usually quite boring to me. But I just want to be more comfortable with technological.
I still have a lot to learn, and I'm not really sure how to go about it. I could take another technology class, but if it doesn't relate to education I'm not really sure if I want to take it. I guess I could attempt to integrate it. But if anyone has any suggestions to courses or anything, I am all ears. Thanks in advance. This semester was awesome ( even if it was a little boring:})

Chapter 8 focuses on Security issues, ethics and the emergence of new technologies within education. In this chapter viruses are discussed. Also discussed is hackers, unauthorized access and things such as hardware theft. I really appreciate the safe computing tips, and the signs of virus infection, because now I know what needs to be done to keep my computer safe.
Well, haven't learned anything new that hasn't been mentioned. Today we worked on excel. I think. But I have enjoyed class.
Well I guess I can add while I wait for Ms. Tatyana. Today was a good day, went to my sociology class then to the gym (trying to get a six pack, but its not working), and now I am in EME, waiting :). but anywho back to the gym. I have been working out for almost a month , about two to three times a week, and I get no where. I am not trying to lose weight, but tone muscle, and I guess I see it in my legs, but everywhere else is a no go:( what to do, what to do. I don't diet, that may help huh???

Chapter 7 speaks of integration strategies. I enjoy that this chapter gives ways to integrate technology into technology. There are Social studies integrations, Math integrations, and Science integrations.
Today in Excel, it was pretty simple. I focused on the Gradebook assignment. I pretty much knew how to do everything, but the formula for the Letter Grade column was new to me.
I am a little tired, I think I suffer from critical boredom, and restlessness :) because I have felt this way since the beginning of the semester. My symptoms include being tired all the time, and anxious when assigned homework lol. I only have one other class this semester which is also pretty easy--- intro. to sociology. So yea, I am really ready for the end of the semester.

Chapter 6 finally gets to curriculum integration, which is the combinations of all technological partstogether with each subject related area of curriculum to enhance learning.Integrating technology into the curriculum helps to enhance the learning of the students. Technological integration makes learning more enjoyable, and easier at a time when the media, and technology are such big parts of society today.
Creating the games on powerpoint was fun. I never knew how to do any of that, and I enjoyed learning.
Personally I am so excited that the summer is almost over. I can't wait until football for so many reasons. Especially work, I work at Bill's and it is so slow over the summer, all the fun comes in the fall. :)

Chapter Five discusses integrating digital media and educational software applications. Interactive digital media, allows users to work at their own pace, giving them a chance to understand the information better. This is great for the classroom because it allows students to interact which can make the information easier for the student to understand.
Using Powerpoint, I learned how to customize animation, which I never knew how to do, so that was exciting. I also learned how to add the hyperlink. It gives the slide a little something, but everything else I pretty much knew how to do.
I don't really know what to say personally. I am not a very technological person, so I can't really recommend any links. Facebook, Myspace and blackboard is about all you get from me.

We were told to post #3 and #4 yet there were no prompts so I just assume that it is based on the chapters 3 and 4. Chapter 4 was in reference to hardware for educators. This chapter went in depth about the system unit which I found interesting.

Chapter 3 was interesting, I liked the fact that it gave a lot more information on using technology in education. I also enjoyed the direction to create a webpage. I don't really like the book, but this chapter was ok.
I am soo not into this class. I understand I need it, but it seems so redundant.

Today We looked at Chapter 2 in Our books, I honestly haven't read it, but just looking through it I learned about how the computers are networked within classrom, schools, and districts. The diagrams are a little complicated. The book also explained the benefits of Computer networks within education. One of the benefits is that these networks offer unlimited educational resources, and it allows students and educators to communicate with other students and teachers around the world.
Inspiration is a new program that we used today, that creates concept maps. I never realized that there was such a program, but now that I know about this I may use it to help brainstorm for future papers.
